An ancient Persian calendar celebration, Nowruz signifies the arrival of spring. Traditionally celebrated on or around the 21st of March as per the Gregorian calendar, Nowruz has its origins in Zoroastrianism but has been celebrated for over 3,000 years by various communities in West Asia, Central Asia, the Caucasus, the Black Sea region, the Balkans and South Asia.
